Pure at Heart is the creative division of Haute Nature Ltd, a wholesale rose company that over the past twelve years has produced over one million rose plants to enhance gardens throughout New Zealand.
Bio
Bronwyn and Rebekah Crawford are the mother and daughter team at the heart of Pure at Heart. Supported by a hand picked team of freelance florists, prop builders, transporters and lighting gaffers for large events.
Bronwyn is Pure at Heart's event designer. She combines a sense of visual playfulness with meticulous attention to detail, and has the ability to interpret and actualise your dreams whatever your budget.
Bronwyn began her working life as a solicitor, then developed her floristry, set and lighting design talents whilst full time mothering when her children were young, and her horticultural knowledge whilst running her rose growing business. She has travelled extensively researching European floristry and sculpture.
Rebekah, a professional florist, with over three years experience in retail floristry, specializes in creating wedding bouquets that blend modernity and romanticism: fulfilling every bride's desire to be both different and breathtakingly beautiful. Rebekah trained part time at Unitec's school of floristry, and full time at The Bay of Plenty Polytech; where she received the top design award. She has undertaken a number of short term courses by elite international floral designers, and is involved in the Floral Art Society of New Zealand and the New Zealand Society of Professional Florists. Rebekah supports the annual Street Reach pamper night for women living in refuges and shelters, by donating the event's floral decorations.

Pure At Heart caters for all aspects of wedding and special event floristry. Whether you require just one wedding bouquet or multiple flower sculptures for a Ball, we will be able to serve you in creating flowers that will delight and impress your special guests.
We are able to design and implement all of the decor aspects of your special occasion or gala event, including table styling and atmospheric and dance lighting; working in with other event professionals and hire vendors when required. Setting, table linens and lighting have a huge impact at any event, with floral elements playing the all important theme setting role, and the secondary role of adding intimacy and textural detail.
We understand wedding lighting. It's a mood creator. Whatever your style: whether best complimented by eternally elegant gold, ethereally blued whites, or bold shades of tangerine and raspberry, we can capture your pure vision.
We have a wide range of imported vases and containers and are generally able to cater for large weddings in-house, without incurring outside vase hire costs. Our range of event props include: candelabra, urns and pedestals, vase plinths, room screens, large table-top covering mirrors, twig structures, tall bare branched trees, topiary trees, potted palms, wooden jardinière boxes, and hanging: vases, votive and tea light holders. During the Summer months we have white Iceberg standard roses, miniature topiary roses and pots of miniature roses suitable for wedding venue decoration. We are also able to exclusively supply our clients with large blooming scented garden roses, including David Austin English roses, during January and February. If needed, our nursery can specially grow outdoor flowers for events, e.g.: marigolds for Indian weddings.
The Studio
Pure at Heart's studio is located in New Lynn. We will be relocating our showroom to the central city in September. For large events, the studio is supplemented by our Whenuapai nursery and transportation facilities.
At consultations we take uninterrupted time to listen to your needs and ideas; and we have an extensive library of floral and event concepts to browse, to help you in explaining your preferences and visual taste.
Telephone or e-mail us to arrange an appointment. There is no charge for an obligation free consultation and evening appointment times are available if needed. Most consultations take an hour. Consultation days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
For event design and for all in-situ floristry, i.e. large arrangements, and floral decorations or lighting that must be attached to the venue's structure, it is usually necessary to have a second consultation at the venue. Such consultations are charged at $50.00 per hour plus travel expenses.
A final telephone confirmation of details will be made one week prior to your event and there is no charge for this. We also encourage you to make enquiries by e-mail, however if you require any additional personal consultations there is a charge of $50.00 per hour.
Terms of Business
In acknowledgment of the difficulties in planning a wedding up to a year ahead we accept penciled bookings on a first option basis. A deposit of $100.00, or 10% of the value of your order in the case of bouquet only bookings, must be made to secure a firm booking. Should others wish to book the date that you only have a penciled booking for, we will contact you to give you the opportunity to make immediate payment in order to retain priority. If reasonable efforts to contact you fail, your penciled booking priority will be forfeited.
For event decorations and wedding reception packages a payment of 25% of the value of your order is due no later than two weeks before the event. The balance is due on delivery or set up.
The initial deposit is only refundable if the event is actually canceled, and we have at least one month's notice prior to the canceled date.
Every effort is made to obtain the flowers and foliage as ordered, however as the flower markets, and growers, cannot guarantee supply neither can we. Therefore, we reserve the right to substitute other flowers when necessary, either because the product is unavailable, or not of an acceptable quality, or because the auction or growers' price is more than 20% above the expected price.
Studio Location
Our Studio is located in New Lynn Heights (Approx 1km from Lynn Mall and near to Titirangi Golf Course). Open strictly by appointment.
